Vic: Scottish police make contact with missing Victorian woman

An Australian woman missing in Britain for the past two weeks has contacted police from hospital.

Police in Scotland say MICHELLE HENDRY from Ballarat in western Victoria, telephoned
about 6am (AEST) to tell police she was safe.

Inspector ALAN MACKINNON from Motherwell police in suburban Glasgow, says Ms HENDRY
rang from the Royal Sussex County Hospital in Brighton, south of London.

Police believe she went missing on her own accord after an attempt to restart a relationship
with her three-year-old son's father failed.

She told police she'll contact family in her own time.
