Fed: Trauma over stolen gen forgotten: McMullan

The opposition says the trauma of thousands of Aborigines forcibly removed from their
families is being ignored in a debate over semantics.

Opposition Aboriginal affairs spokesman BOB MCMULLAN says it doesn't matter if an individual
person was removed rather than stolen from their families.

He says the mere fact they were taken from their parents, siblings and extended families
is something no Australian could abide.
