ALBANY -- Brian Beaury slumped in the bleachers of the Activities Center, arms crossed, watching quietly. Waiting. Waiting. Waiting.
More than 35 minutes of an intrasquad scrimmage had presented numerous glimpses of how the stars of the Saint Rose Golden Knights can -- and typically do -- align. Ralph Bucci was slashing and Jermaine Henderson was flashing. Corey Green was running and Roger Powers was gunning. Jay Olsen was hustling and Garth Joseph was muscling.
Finally, with just under four minutes remaining, Beaury and everybody else in the gym saw the light. The shining light who can lead the Golden Knights to the 21st century -- maybe even to a national championship one day -- caught a pass and remembered to forget to think.
