Bell Elected to National Academy of Sciences

Alexis T. Bell, the Theodore Vermeulen Professor of Chemical Engineering at the Univ. of California, Berkeley, and a principal investigator with the U.S. Dept. of Energy's Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory, has been elected to the National Academy of Sciences (NAS). He joins 7 1 other new members and 1 8 foreign associates who were recognized for their distinguished and continuing achievements in original research. The elections were announced at the 147th Annual Meeting of the Academy in April.
